About Me

Hey there, my name is Steven Dickenson. I’m an IT manager/network administrator/general purpose geek living in Annapolis, Maryland, USA. This blog is a place for me to scribble tech notes that I think might help others.

I’m the network administrator for a private K-12 school in Annapolis. I also do a fair amount of consulting for small businesses and other independent schools in the area, which keeps things varied and interesting. I love to hack around with Linux, SpamAssassin, PHP, Exim, and Altiris. Windows is boring, but it pays the bills.

I have a wonderful wife of 13 years and 3 children from 17 to 3. We all attend a great church that really fills our spiritual needs and where we hope our kids will come to know Christ the way my wife and I do.

I like to think that I’m a photographer (and I have the gear to prove it), although I swear my wife takes better pictures of the kids than I do. I love to cook and spend far too much time in the kitchen, to the detriment of my waistline. I lean towards the left on most political matters, but tend not to shout about it too much.
