IE is the Eleventh Plague

After putting up with far too many security vulnerabilities in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser, this most recent “gem” has finally pushed me over the edge. I’m no longer using IE anytime I’m in Windows, which is most of my time infront of a computer thanks to my job. The funny thing is, Microsoft isn’t even informing their users of this problem, because there’s nothing they can do about it yet. Just issue yet another security patch 2 months after the vulnerability is made public. They haven’t even patched SNMP yet.

Makes me wonder if the Giant Invisible Pink Bunny is doing his job.

After testing a recent milestone of Mozilla, I’ve decided to make it my browser of choice in Windows. The quick launch feature makes it startup just as quick as IE, it’s quite pretty, and renders pages perfectly. Plus, it’s compatible with all of Netscapes plugins. Just export your IE favorites, import them into Mozilla, and go. And say goodbye to all of IE’s inherent security flaws. Now, let’s just hope nobody root’s Mozilla, and makes me eat my words…
